She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 29, 2022, in Rancho Mirage, California, at the age of 71 years, 7 months, 27 days.

Her early life was spent growing up in the rural Northboro, Iowa, area where she developed a love of animals and enjoyed riding horses growing up on the farm. Jane attended the Northboro Community elementary school through sixth grade. She then attended Junior high and high school in Shenandoah, Iowa, graduating from Shenandoah High School with the Class of 1969. Following graduation, Jane attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville for one year.

On December 14, 1991, Jane was united in marriage to Robert Alcumbrac in Des Moines, Iowa. For 13 years, Jane worked as a legal assistant to Verne Lawyer in Des Moines from 1980 through 1993. She and Robert moved to Thousand Palms, California, where she worked as a self-employed tax specialist and was a realtor for Bennion DeVille Realty in Palm Springs, California from 2007 through 2019.

While in California, Jane was Chairwoman of the Palm Springs Cemetery District and served on various real estate committees. Always an animal lover, she became a big advocate of rescuing dogs and did what she could to make their lives better. She also loved to cook and was always trying new recipes, using ingredients from scratch. Loving to fly, Jane became a licensed airplane pilot.
