Eugenia Lavina Crosby Yale, 86, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Fellowship Home after a long battle with declining health. Eugenia was born December 15, 1929 in Homerville, to the late Bernard and Lavina Wilds Holland. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and Young at Heart. Eugenia graduated from Valdosta High School in 1949 and served as President of the Beta Club She also served as President of the Valdosta Jaycettes, was a member of the American Legion, the Elks Club, the Shriner's Auxiliary and was an active member of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Senior Citizens. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband of 51 years, A.D. Crosby, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Donald Yale of Valdosta; a sister, Marlene Little of Keystone Heights, Florida; brothers-in-law, Joseph Crosby of Valdosta, Gene Rawlins of Conyers, GA, Arthur Yale of Tallahassee, FL., Norman Yale of Dallas, GA.; sisters-in-law, Betty Yale and Louise Sainz of Valdosta, son and daughter-in-law, Andy (Debbie) Crosby of Hahira; daughter and son-in-law, Tress (Fred) Redish of Valdosta; step-sons and step- daughters-in-law, Don (Stacy) Yale of Florence, SC., Jeff (Maidie) Yale of Mansfield, TX., Chris (Debbie) Yale of Weddington, NC.; step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Cathy (Todd) Sigman of Alpharetta; grandchildren, Denny (Lisa) Crosby of Marietta, Mendy Crosby of Hahira, Kelly (Jonathan) Spell of Hahira, Tammy (Tyler) Cannon of Osan, Kyonggi-D0, Korea, Emily (Eric) Tillman of Hahira, Erin (Kevin) Wacter of Lake Park, Travis (Kayla) Redish of Valdosta, Emma and Pierson Yale of Thomasville, Katie and Logan Yale of Florence, SC., Preston and Spencer Yale of Mansfield, TX, Catherine Grace, Aubrey and Julia Sigman of Alpharetta; eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Pastor Denny Crosby, Eugenia's grandson will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
