Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend to all who met her passed away peacefully Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Close to Home Assisted Living, age 85. Barbara was born December 3, 1936, in Bay City to the late Chester and Ruth (Salmon) Wisniewski. She married the love of her life, Allan E. “Sonny” Bond in Bay City on June 23, 1956, and Sonny predeceased her on December 25, 2019. Barbara worked as a lunch cashier and occasional noon aide at Hampton Elementary School for many years and retired from Macy’s Department Store with more than 20 years of dedicated service. She was a longtime member of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish-St. John’s Church. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, shopping, and most importantly look forward to spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Left to carry on her legacy are her four children: Allan J. Bond, Cherie A. (Robert) Deleon, Darwin J. Bond and Darryl J. (Sherrie) Bond; grandchildren, Austin, Evan, Isabelle, Eli and David Bond, Jennifer (Dan) Ulmer and Jenni Blum, two brothers, Richard (Lorie) Wisniewski and Michael (Nancy) Wisniewski, great friend from back in grade school Ceil McPhee, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Barbara was predeceased by two sisters, Darlene Weiss and Patricia Wisniewski-Anthony, and a sister-in-law Judy (David) Beson.

A Prayer Service for Barbara will be held Sunday, October 30, 2022, at 4:00 PM at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1200 Garfield Ave., Bay City, MI 48708. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate, and private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
