William Robert Brust
<p>William (Bill) Robert Brust, 74, passed away at home on Friday, October 21, 2022 with his loving wife, Peg, by his side. He is survived by their son, David, of Oak Ridge, NC and their daughter, Sara, of Fort Mill, SC. He was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Phoebe, Will and Isabelle whom he loved very much. Times with them were very special. Bill met Peg at Mount Union College in 1968 and graduated from there in 1970. They were married in March of 1971 and settled in Lyndhurst, OH. Bill received his MBA from John Carroll University in 1982. His line of work was in credit at General Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, OH. Bill moved his family to Fort Mill, SC when the company relocated to Charlotte, NC in 1995. The company later became Continental and also moved to Fort Mill, SC. Bill retired in May of 2011.<br> With being home now, Bill had more time for his family, golf, and tinkering with is model trains. He loved playing games, and enjoyed the monthly cards with some of the “mens” on the street where he was known as the Professor. He could easily be talked into playing the favorite family card game. Being easy going in nature, Bill was admired and loved my many. A man of integrity.<br> Peg and Bill had just celebrated their 52nd anniversary when Bill was diagnosed with Central Nervous System Lymphoma, DLBCL. They were blessed with 6 1/2 months to talk, plan, see family and friends and have fun.<br> Family services will be at a later date.
