Gary Lee Yoder, age 79, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family after a 21+ year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born on January 21, 1943, in Fremont, Ohio to the late Truman & Gladys Pearl (Bateson) Yoder. Gary married Carole Brand on January 25, 1964, at Mt. Zion United Brethren Church near Wayne.

Surviving Gary is his loving wife of 58 years, Carole; daughter, Dawn (Perry) Hamman of Wayne; son, Erik (Ardis) Yoder of Jamestown, IN; sister, Kathy (Tom) Haswell of Bowling Green; sister-in-law, Rose Yoder of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Patricia (Eddie) Hernandez, Kristina (Christopher) Nicholson, Ethan Karns, Miranda Donner, Elijah Yoder, Tyesn Yoder, Lainey Yoder; great-grandchildren, Parker Hernandez, Vivian Hernandez, Ezra Hernandez, Evelyn Hernandez, Jonah Hernandez, Amelia Nicholson, Jaxon Donner, and Camden Donner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Truman & Pearl; and brother, Harold Yoder.

Gary worked as a Truck Driver for the formerly known Signal Delivery, and then worked many years at BioFit in Haskins. Among many hobbies he enjoyed flying, camping, hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends.

Friends will be received from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeremy Robinson officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Bowling Green Manor or to the National Alzheimer’s Association Northwest Ohio Chapter.
