Frank Stubock, age 86, passed away on Thursday, October 20 at CMH Hospital in Bolivar, MO. Frank was born at home on July 29, 1936 in a little village called Duck Hollow just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. He was the youngest of 6 children. Frank was a man of many, many talents and interests. At the age of 14 he was singing in the chorus of the Pittsburgh Opera Company. At 17 he went to New York to sing in the Metropolitan Opera without success so worked at a coffee import business on Wall Street until he joined the Army.
Frank lived most of his life in California with experiences in the movie and filming industries, veterinary medicine, auto repair, all phases of construction, and far more to enumerate. In 1998 he married his Carol Ann and moved to Jerico Springs, MO to be a farmer. His joy was living in the country and tending to his large vegetable gardens. He so loved the peace and serenity of country life.
Frank was a student of history. He was a voracious reader and spent a lifetime passing on his knowledge and encouraging others to read, read, read.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 4 of his siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, sister, Rosemary, 3 step-children, Michelle Castellanos and her husband, Pete, of Corona, CA, Rob Treese and his wife, Lara, of Kihei, HI, and Christopher Treese and his wife, Wendy, of Long Beach, CA, 2 granddaughters, Samantha and Sophia Castellanos, and 6 granddogs.
In lieu of flowers, donations to EWTN Catholic Television Network (ewtn.com) or Dominican Sisters of Mary (sistersofmary.org) would be his wish.
