Muriel M. Paradis Obituary

Muriel "Teechie" Paradis of Canterbury, New Hampshire left this earthly life, Thursday, October 20, 2022, to join her husband Arthur, her parents Arthur and Georgiana Bedard, 14 siblings, many of their spouses, and countless other relatives and friends experiencing the bliss of God's pure love.

Muriel is survived by two siblings Carmen Nical and Jackie Blanchette, three children, daughter Renée, son Scott, and daughter Lurée, daughter-in-law Lisa, son-in-law John Seeler, three wonderful grandchildren Merideth, Mitchell, and Ethan, and a large and growing extended family and faith community.

Born August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1938, Muriel was especially devoted to Mother Mary her entire life.

The youngest of 17 siblings, Muriel grew up surrounded and encouraged by a faith-filled family in Pelham, New Hampshire. As a teen she carefully considered an urge to religious life but ultimately determined raising a family was her calling. Muriel and Arthur raised their children in Pelham, New Hampshire.

Muriel worked at Malden Mills in Methuen, Massachusetts for the first half of her career and Lucent Technologies, North Andover, for the second half. Throughout her adult life Muriel enjoyed showcasing her creative talents baking and decorating cakes for weddings and special occasions.

Muriel cared for her aging parents and was active in Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Pelham. After their children were grown, Muriel and Arthur relocated to Canterbury, New Hampshire in 1994. Muriel continued to assist aging siblings and others in need. Active with Saint Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church in Tilton, Muriel coordinated Mercy Meals for a number of years, and organized and participated in weekly Adoration.

God, family, and people in need mattered most to Muriel. She considered animals, her pets as well as all outdoor critters, part of God's family. All animals held a special place in her heart. Her intent was to make life better for any of God's children who crossed her path. Muriel was a good and faithful servant.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 96 Main Street, Belmont, New Hampshire, Friday, October 28, 2022, at 10 am. A luncheon will be served immediately following the Mass at Alan's of Boscawen, 133 North Main Street, Boscawen, New Hampshire.
