Angela Y. Weeks Obituary

Angela Yvetta Weeks, affectionately known as Angie, was born in Williamsburg, Maryland, on March 14, 1956, to the late Edward and Oneida Weeks. Angie transitioned from this earthly world to her heavenly home on October 18 2022.

Angie graduated from Dorchester High School in 1974, with perfect attendance. After graduation, she attended Goldey Beacom College, where she received her Associates of Arts Degree in Executive Secretarial Science. Angie, an avid learner, continued her education and received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management as well as a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Organization Dynamics. Angie completed her educational journey with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

In 1981, Angie was joined in matrimony to the late Alfred Dean. Their union was blessed with a devoted and loving son, Dontrez K. E. Dean.

Angie loved God with all her heart and was a devoted member of Abundant Life Christian Center (ALCC), home of her favorite pastors Jack and Teresa Miller. Angie enjoyed serving and loved sharing her gifts and talents as a writer and member of the Drama Ministry, Children’s Ministry and also led the Greeters Ministry. Angie was also a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals Organization for many years up until her retirement from AstraZeneca.

Angie’s favorite hobby was sewing. She enjoyed spending hours looking through fabric and imagining what it could become. It seemed that she also applied that same passion to people. Always seeing what they could become. Although Angie had many interests, none compared to the joy she received from her son and grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as “Gmom”.

Angie was preceded in death by a brother, Levin Brown.

Angie leaves to mourn her loss, one son, Dontrez K. E. Dean; grandchildren, Dontrez II (Poota), and Dondrea (Pootie); brothers, Norman Alvintine Weeks and John Johnson (Alicia); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins as well as her church family and friends.
