Daniel Warren Withey, 56, of Grand Blanc, (formerly of Clarkston & North Branch), died Sunday, October 8, 2017. Daniel was born June 30, 1961 in Marlette to Richard and Joyce (Crawford) Withey. He graduated from North Branch High School, class of 1979. Dan was a computer programmer. Through the years he worked for several companies including Lapeer County Intermediate School District, Sofo Foods, Trnes and most recently for the Ferber Company. For several years Dan owned and operated Castaways Restaurant on Lake Nepessing. He was a fanatical Queen (Freddie Mercury) fan as well as a huge Red Wings fan. Dan is survived by the light of his life, his daughter, Samantha Irvan-Withey of Clarkston(“Sweet Child of Mine”); father, Dick (Nancy) Withey of Lapeer; the love of his life, Tracy Leedle of Grand Blanc (“You’ve stood by me girl, I’m happy at home, You’re my best friend”); siblings: Kevin (Kelly) Withey of Lapeer and Michelle (Sean) Roemhild of Lapeer. Dan is also survived by Tracy’s kids - who he adored: Samantha and Alicia Leedle, both of Grand Blanc and little Carter Leedle. Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Withey; sister, Richelle Faye Withey and his grandparents. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family for Samantha (checks may be made out to Kevin Withey). Visitation will be 4-8PM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 and 12-4/6-8PM Wednesday October 11, 2017 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Daniel’s funeral service will be 11:00AM Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Muir Brothers. Pastor Steve Fletcher will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at the Westlawn Cemetery, North Branch.
