Larry Thornton was born on June 5, 1965, to the union of John W. Thornton and Minnie Kate Steverson Thornton. He was the youngest of two beautiful children from this union. He was born in Woodland, Georgia.

Larry attended and graduated with the Class of 1984 of Central High School in Talbotton, GA.

Larry was a hard worker in whatever he did. He loved walking and getting exercise and realization along with the neighbors. He loved the people in the community, and they loved him. He would often go to church at Mt. Airy and Flint River Church when he was younger and sometimes when he was older.

Larry loved soul food! His beloved friend and cousin Jessie Owens took care of each other.

On Friday, October 14, 2022, at the age of 57 our brother transitioned from labor to rest.

He is preceded in death by his parents John W. Thornton and Minnie K. Thornton; a brother: Willie M. Thornton.

He leaves to cherish a very nice family: His sister: Minnie Ann Thornton Hodo (Ronny) of Atlanta, GA.; Nephew: Dred Thornton, Willie M. Thornton (Corine), Johnny Thornton (Nellie), Rosa E. Thompston.

He also leaves a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss her dearly.
