Grace E. Partain

<p>Grace E. (Cortright) Partain, 64, formerly of Biddeford, passed away peacefully on </p><p>October 11, 2022, with her family by her side, after a lengthy battle with kidney disease.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born on December 10,1957 to the late Harry and Pearl (Woodard) Cortright in Elmira , New York.</p><p><br></p><p>Grace graduated from Southside High school in 1977. Grace held many jobs over the years, including being a dedicated home health aide, then working in food service and best of all being a foster mom. Her heart was content and full when she spent time with her family, nieces and nephews, cousins, and family of friends. </p><p><br></p><p>Grace moved to Florida and met her husband Mike and together they took care of a small ranch. Following the passing of Mike, she moved back to New York to care for her mom.</p><p><br></p><p>Grace moved to Maine in 2016 to help provide childcare for her new niece and nephew and became involved with the Bon Appetit Community Meal program. She was on the board of directors and a committed volunteer. She loved to help Altrusa International of greater Biddeford and Saco. They gave books away in their communities and she enjoyed putting together bookmarks and erasers for the forever books given away at the Young School. </p><p><br></p><p>She always made things a little brighter with her gentle personality and kind soul.</p><p><br></p><p>She will be forever missed….</p><p><br></p><p>Grace is survived by her siblings: Jim Cortright of Shapleigh, ME; Robert Cortright of Florida and Laura Cortright of Biddeford, ME and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. </p><p><br></p><p>She was predeceased by her husband Michael Partain and brother Edward Cortright. </p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of life service will be Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at the North Waterboro Community Church, 6 Clarks Woods Rd, No. Waterboro. </p><p><br></p><p>Online tributes and condolences may be shared at Grace’s Book of Memories at www.bibbersautumngreen.com</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to: The Bon Appetit Community Meal Program, 19 Crescent Street, Biddeford, ME 04005.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements are in the care of Bibber Memorial at Autumn Green, 47 Oak St., in Alfred.</p><p><br></p>

Grace E. (Cortright) Partain, 64, formerly of Biddeford, passed away peacefully on
