Margaret E. Fraser Obituary

I, Margaret E. (Flynn) Fraser, 56 of Georgetown died on January 28, 2017 after a long battle with stupidity. I was born in Salem into a large, loud, fun family. I married into another large, loud, fun family and I then created a loud, fun (not so large, cuz what were our parents thinkin’?) family of my own. I was educated in the Salem school system and received an Associate’s Degree from Cape Cod Community College. Since then I spent a decade or more involved with three different family businesses: T.E. Andresen, Inc. of Salem, Mobility Services International formerly of Newburyport and my last stop at Sousa Realty of Wenham. I never had a big deal career but I also never had a job I didn’t love. I hope these families feel I treated them as well as they treated me. I leave you now as the richest woman on earth because I loved and was loved more than anyone deserves. Although my parents grounded me often for hanging out at “those Willows”, I can’t imagine my life if I hadn’t. My oldest BFF Kathy and I decided it was far better to ask for forgiveness than to seek permission. The result was amazing. I gained 5 more BFFs, a most excellent husband, two godfathers for my kids, a handful of new moms, and an incredible group of friends. Once again I guess you could say I entered into another large, loud, fun family! I had the extreme pleasure of being crowned Ms. CDA in the early 80s, and served as Mediator for an Investment Club in the 90’s. Two positions I took very seriously. Life was very, very good to me. I reluctantly leave behind my husband Drew. For thirty years he catered to my every whim. We certainly weathered more than a few tricky days together but we got through to the other side and always seemed to land in a better place! Our kids, Jackie and Luke Fraser, came as a surprise and never stopped surprising. I must have done something right for the heavens to reward me with the two of you!! There are no words big enough to match my pride. I am thrilled to call the three of you mine. Sadly I also leave behind: Richard M. Flynn, Karen Flynn Eric Rolfe, Judy Roger Beaulieu, Cindy and Tom Rainville, Ruth Flynn Mike Cooney, Beth Joe Comeau. Harry Stacey Fraser, Susan Brian Whelton, Connie Young, Roger Gagnon, Tracey Fraser, and a whole bunch of nieces and nephews. The loved ones that predeceased me are my parents John Joseph and Jean (Cronan) Flynn, my parents in law Harry and Phyllis (Small) Fraser, their daughter and my great friend, Nancy Fraser, and Bob Young. A casual (that means yes on the question “are jeans ok?”) celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 4 from 1-4pm at ’Mike Lills Black Sheep Pub Grill , 5 Central St., Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Lazarus Ministry at St. Anthony’s Shrine, 100 Arch Street, Boston, MA 02110. This ministry provides a dignified burial for abandoned and homeless infants, children and adults. Online condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com .
