Joanne R. Osterman

<p>Joanne R. Osterman, 79, of Shillington, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Berks Heim. Born on August 24, 1943, in Reading she was the daughter of the late George "Whitey" Kurowski and Joan R. (Setley) Kurowski. Joanne was a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, Class of 1961. She enjoyed listening to Frank and Dean, loved watching football especially The San Francisco 49ers and her beloved Joe Montana.&nbsp;&nbsp;She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Shillington. Overall Joanne was known for her special heart in remembering everyone’s birthday and spending time with her family.&nbsp; </p><p>Joanne is survived by her daughters Jolynn A. Stuebner, wife of Michael, of Sinking Spring; Joette M. Schwenk, wife of Eric, of Birdsboro; 4 grandchildren, Alec M., Adam M., husband of Olivia K., Brynn E., Brooke O., and a great granddaughter Penelope A.&nbsp;&nbsp;Joanne is also survived by her sister Georgeann Waldbiesser, wife of Richard, of Muhlenberg Township; Brother James G. Kurowski, husband of Judy, of Wernersville; a niece and several nephews. </p><p>She was predeceased by her brother George "Slug" Kurowski Jr. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes&nbsp;129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA&nbsp;19607on&nbsp;Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 6:00pm. Amy S. Landis will officiate. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home&nbsp;from 4:00pm-6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels in Shillington, at berks encore.org in&nbsp;memory of Joanne R. Osterman.
