Joseph is survived by his mother, Anna, his brother and sister-in-law, Gerard and Helen, his niece, Michelle and her sons Justin, Matthew, and James and many cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph (Hack), and his sisters, Marie and Roseann. 

To know Joseph was to love him. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a memorial contribution to Futures in Education For Brooklyn and Queens in Joseph's name.
