Keontae Shelton passed away on October 11, 2022, at Maryview Hospital at the age of 27.

Keontae, son of Latoya Shelton, was born on August 2, 1995, in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Keontae was educated in the Portsmouth Public School system. He was employed by Kelly’s Staffing at the time of his death. Keontae enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will forever be remembered for his humbleness. Keontae enjoyed life, family members, and many friends. He was always there to brighten the lives of others with his humor. All that knew Keontae loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memories children Te’aziah, Kemaryi, Ta’niya, Keon and Kalen, his mother (Latoya Shelton), sister (Kishauna Shelton), grandmother (Karen Shelton), grandfather (Walter Cherry), special friend (Latoya Freeman), his Uncles Joedee Shelton, Kareem Shelton Chase Cherry, Aunts Lakaya Shelton and Telisa White, Godmother Nasia Smith, Godfather Dion Lofton and a host of relatives and friends.

Keontae was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Mary Hardy and close cousins, Juanita Shelton, and Darell Hardy.

Keontae will be greatly missed. He leaves many fond memories for his family to cherish.
