<p>Isaiah 40:29-31: He give strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary: they will walk and not be faint. Jerni lovingly known as “Shug” was born April 8, 2000 in West Point, MS to the parents of William and Tracy White. God called “Shug” from labor to rest on September 26, 2022. “Shug” was baptized on July 30, 2017 and became a member of Northside Christian Church, West Point, MS.</p><p>“Shug” was a 2018 Graduate of West Point High School. He continued his education with a full scholarship to Holmes Community College. He played football for 3 years, where he was a starting long snapper and a wide receiver. “Shug” graduated from Holmes in May of 2021 with an Associate Degree in Business. “Shug” later attended the University of Louisiana-Monroe in the Summer and Fall of 2021 to further his football career after consideration he then decided he wanted to follow his grandfather, Thomas, footsteps and become a truck driver. “Shug” attended truck driving school in Louisville, TN and received his commercial license to become a trucker. “Shug” trucker handle was “Cat Daddy”. “Shug” truly loved everyone and always had a smile on his face, and never met a stranger. I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me. Philippians 4:13 was his favorite verse which he lived by since 7th grade.</p><p>“Shug” leaves to mourn his passing: his parents who loved him dearly, William and Tracy White, three brothers, Jaylan White (Whitley), Sanquayln Shaffer and Justin White, one sister, Keilah Roberts, grandparents, Thelma Johnson (Percy) of Jackson, TN; Earnest Marble of West Point, MS; and Thomas Eckers (Brenda) of Una, MS; special friend, NaChasity Hubbard, one niece, Jazelyn Davis, goddaughter, Khaylei Bradshaw, five aunts, Nichole Harris (Tony), Rosie Marble, Tina Jackson, Tonya Eckers, and Christina Martin (Kenny), six uncles, Wilbur White, Shun Calvert, Farrell Calvert, Thomas Eckers (Robin), Treddies Edwards (Raveen), and Thomas Moore and a host of great-uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.</p><p>“Shug” was preceded in death by his grandmother, Annie (BeBe) White who gave him the famous name “Shug” and his first cousin, Tyler White.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
