Darren Paul Gautreau, a loving husband, grandfather, and man of faith, was called home to God at age 59 on October 5th, 2022. He was born on February 1st, 1963, in Baton Rouge and was a long-time resident of Gonzales. 

He had a lifelong passion for cooking that started in the kitchen with his mom as a little boy that carried through culinary school and into his own home where he enjoyed being a chef for friends and family. He was a dedicated husband who greatly enjoyed time with his wife with whom he traveled, attended sporting events, and acted like a big kid playing video games.

Darren is survived by his wife, Debby Gautreau, his brother, Kent Gautreau, two stepchildren, and two grandsons.

Darren is preceded in death by his father, Nelson Gautreau, his mother Mary Ann Gautreau, and his brother, Bryce Gautreau.

Visitation for family and friends will be at Ascension Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 10 am until 12 pm with a memorial service to follow.
