Betty Lou Tolf

<p>Trivoli- Betty Lou Tolf, 95, of Trivoli, passed away at 2:37 AM on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Proctor Place in Peoria. She was born on February 10, 1927, in Trivoli, a daughter of Elwyn and Mary (Opie) Harding. She married the love of her life, Robert Tolf, on June 20, 1948 in Trivoli. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2014.</p><p><br></p><p>Also preceding her in death are her parents, one son, Bruce Tolf, and one grandson, Lucas Tolf.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are her children, Randall (Charlene) Tolf of Peoria; Terrie (Jerry) Lamprecht of Washington; Sylvia (Gary) Norton of Washington; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, and one brother, Ted (Bethea) Harding of Trivoli.</p><p><br></p><p>Betty graduated from Bradley University with an education degree in 1949. She taught Kindergarten until she and Bob started their family.</p><p><br></p><p>Outside of her family, her life passions were reading, singing, swimming, playing bridge, and eating chocolate. She was a member of the Canton and Pekin Sweet Adeline’s barbershop chorus for many years.</p><p><br></p><p>Betty was a lifelong member of Trivoli United Methodist Church, where she was active with the TUMC Evening Circle.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Graveside service and burial of ashes will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Trivoli Cemetery in Trivoli. Cremation rites will be accorded through Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington. Memorials can be made to the Trivoli United Methodist Church or to Logan-Trivoli Fire Protection.
