Kevin Dwight Bennett Obituary

On behalf of the Owner, Management and Staff of Bethesda Memorial Funeral Directors, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Kevin Dwight Bennett, age 51, a US Navy veteran, and a resident of Dallas, TX. Services for Mr. Bennett are posted.

Kevin Dwight Bennett was born on April 18, 1971, in San Antonio, TX. to the parentage of Joan Bennett and Jerry Hartfield, Sr. Kevin attended the San Antonio Independent School District where he graduated from Highlands High School. He enlisted into the United States Navy and served his country for four years and later moved to Dallas, TX where he worked over twenty years as a truck driver.

Kevin was truly loved by those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was extremely funny and the life of any party. He loved family and deeply loved his children. He was one of the biggest Dallas Cowboys fans and never turned down a good game of dominoes. His laugh along with his smile and deep dimple was infectious.

Kevin professed a belief in Christ at an early age at Bryant’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, in San Antonio, TX, under the leadership of the late Rev. Samuel Sanders, Sr.

Kevin was preceded in death by his son; Kevin Dwight Bennett Jr., his mother; Joan Bennett, grandmother; Billie J. Bellinger and grandfather; Floyd Bennett.

To know Kevin was to know the love and adoration he had for his children. He leaves to mourn and cherish his loving memory with his daughters; Krystal, Kevion and Khyli, his sons; Zion, Ke’Shaon, Keidn, and Zachery, his sister; Terrie Bennett, and brother; Michael McGee, Sr. (Lytia), a niece; Whitney, nephews; Tyrone, Michael Jr., Thomas, and fur nephew Oreo. His paternal sisters; Shilwanna, Michelle, Angela, Tina and Jerreta. His paternal brothers; Ramone, Michael, Troy, Jerry Jr. and Ke’Ron. His father; Jerry Hartfield, and a host of paternal nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Please keep the Bennett family lifted in prayer.
