Mabelann C. Fisher, 93, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022.  Born July 22, 1929, in Freeport, the daughter of Kenneth K. and Hattie Mae (Sanderson) Clark.  Graduate of East High School, Class of 1947 and went to the University of Kentucky for two years and transferred to University of Wisconsin where she graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1951.  Mabelann worked for the Army at Fort Knox where she met Myrl.  She married Myrl R. Fisher on November 1, 1952 in Rockford at Court Street United Methodist Church.  He predeceased her in 2011.  Member of the Court Street United Methodist Church where she volunteered two days a week. Mabelann was also Personal Banker with Amcore Bank, substitute teacher at RPS 205 and taught English as Second Language.  She was active in 2nd Infantry Auxiliary Korean War Vets Association.  Mabelann was also a past member of the Rockford Women’s Club, Alpha XI Delta Soroity, Daughters of the Nile, PEO Chapter FV, Alumni Club of East High School and University of Wisconsin, election voting judge, and highly valued being a citizen and being politically involved.  She was a University of Wisconin, University of Kentucky, and Chicago Bears fan.  Mabelann was always trying to make the world better in her social circles.  She loved her family and attending her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sports and musicals.

Survived by her children, Cindy Fisher of Rockford, Stephen Fisher of Sisters, OR, Daniel (Leni) Fisher of Spring, TX, and Thomas (Suzette) Fisher of Crystal Lake; grandchildren, Megan (Kevin) Kaepplinger, Sarah Jane Kint, Katie Beth Fisher, Natalee (Tyler) Adams, Tommy, Will, and Kelsey Fisher; great-grandchildren, Joey, Sebastian, Austin, Aaron, Adam, Lacy and Lexi; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Predeceased by her parents; brother, Kenneth (Sue) Clark (2014); and her beloved companion dog, Jacklynn.  The family would like to thank ProMedica Hospice for their care.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Court Street United Methodist Church, 215 N.
