Ruth Ann Pompey, age 62, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Coraopolis died on Thursday, September 29, 2022. She was born the daughter of the late Ellwood Keel and Maureen Coon Davis, Sr. Beloved wife of the late David Pompey. Loving mother of Joshua Pompey and stepdaughter Shanti (Thomas); sister of Ellwood (Melissa) Davis, Jr., David Davis, Daniel T. (Philana) David, Vanessa Oncken, Miriam Davis, Elizabeth Martin and the late Kathryn Davis and Glory McDonald, dear grandmother of Joshua, Verna, and Daniel. Also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ruth was a Coraopolis High School graduate, and she went on to attain her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She worked for the City of Pittsburgh for 25 years, starting as an auditor and eventually became the Assistant Treasurer. After a restructuring at the City of Pittsburgh, Ruth moved on to become the Manager of the Borough of McKees Rocks. She was a Born - Again Christian, serving Covenant Church of Pittsburgh as a faithful servant, who shared the love, and sometimes, the wisdom of Christ to others. She never compromised her faith, keeping the faith for over 30 years. She was a dedicated mother, making sure that her and Josh had a home and was raised in a stable environment. After her mother passed, she took on the joy of hosting the annual traditional Thanksgiving meal for her loving family. It was always, excellently and loving prepared.  Friends will be received at R. D. Copeland, Ltd., 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis on Tuesday 2 – 8 pm where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am.
