Charles Wayne Cates, age 70, of Beulah, KY near Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Cates was born in Gary, IN on April 5, 1952 to Charles Edward Cates and Ethel Mae Alexander Cates. He was a high school graduate and received technical training to be an electrician and a mechanic. He worked as a commercial maintenance specialist for U.S. Steel Manufacturing, Accuride Manufacturing and he retired after working with Bremner Manufacturing. He was of the Christian faith.


Mr. Cates is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Ann Grant Cates of Beulah near Dawson Springs, KY; an honorary son, Wesley Lowery of Princeton, KY; three brothers, Larry Cates (Kerry) of Indianapolis, IN, Kenny Cates (Debi) of Lake Station, IN, and Bobby Cates (Maria) of Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren, Jessica Conder (Ricky), Ashley Woodall, Laela Turner, and Joslyn Christie; and many great-grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jennifer Cates, and a son, Jason Cates.


Visitation for Charles Wayne Cates will begin Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service time at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating.
