Albert Lafleur Obituary
LAFLEUR, Albert - Albert Lafleur passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Friday, September 30, 2022 in his 89th. year. He is survived by his spouse and best friend Lise (nee Croteau). Also survived by his brother Theo (Ted) Lafleur (Claire). Predeceased by his parents Elvey and Albina Lafleur and brothers Hubert and Vital Lafleur. He will be fondly remembered by the members of the Croteau family, his nieces and nephews and all who knew him. Albert was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force for 21 years. He took an early retirement from the Forces to pursue his childhood dream of travelling around the world and was very proud to talk about his trips. After we met we continue taking various trips, he never had enough of it. He was also an animal lover, he was very fond of our three pets - Koko the cockatiel and our two dogs Barney and Benjy whom he adored. I must admit that you never really retired from the Air Force, how I know this is that on the day before your last day at home before returning to the hospital, you have suggested to the PSW that was here for your personal care that she should join the Air Force. When things were not done according to your standards, how many times over our 46 years together have you suggested I should have joined the Air Force and since I have a mind of my own, my answer was always no thank you. Anyways her and I had a good chuckle over this. Gotcha Sweetheart. I know you never lost your great sense of humour. Well so long my Love. P.S. I miss you already. Your loving spouse Lise. I would like to express our special thanks to Dr. Habid, Dr. Javaly, nurse practitioner Nicole, nurses Syd, Jasmin, Shelby, Kim, Kiana and all staff members who took care of him at GNGH. Also like to thank our family physician Dr. Balhous and all staff members at Centre de Sante Communautaire Welland, what a great team. Also thank you to all the PSW’s from Care Partners that came to our home to give him personal care during his last month at home.
Last but not least special thank you to our dear friends Judy and Tony who provided services for us and our beloved Benjy. Funeral arrangements entrusted to H. L Cudney Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life to take place. Final resting place Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Donations to Niagara Health Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Online condolences available at www.cudneyfuneralhome.com.
