Joseph E. Chiaramonte, Sr., 95, beloved husband of Luciana Moretti Chiaramonte of West Haven passed away September 28, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Loving father of Joseph E. (Michelle) Chiaramonte of North Haven and Michelle (Salvatore) Esposito of Branford. Cherished grandfather of Gianna Esposito, Jillian and Joseph Chiaramonte and the late Jenna Chiaramonte. Brother of Edward (Donna) Chiaramonte and the late Marie Penna, Florence Shoup, Agnes Corrigan, Gloria and Dominic Chiaramonte. Joe was born in New Haven on February 27, 1927 a son of the late Dominic and Florence Valente Chiaramonte. Prior to his retirement Joe was a painter for Union Local #186. He was a WWII Navy veteran.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven Monday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St John the XXIII Parish at St. Louis Church, Bull Hill La., West Haven at 11:00. Entombment with military honors will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call MONDAY MORNING from 9:00-10:30.
