James Robert Russum

James "Bob" R. Russum, age 71, of Seaford, Delaware passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on September 28, 1950, to the late Wesley and Lillian Russum. He loved redneck trucks, country music and really enjoyed line dancing; wood working was also one of Bob' s greatest pastimes. Spending time with his family was one of the most special times for him. Bob worked for Beaver Tree Service in Salisbury for approximately 33 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Tommy, a grandson David, and a daughter Skeeter. He is survived by his loving companion of 29 years, Patsy Jarvis; a special sister-in-law Gladys Russum; daughters Julie Kent (Charles), Patty Palmer (Keith), Tammy Covington (Tony); son Tommy (Pam), 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews along with many very special loving friends. A viewing will be held from 12pm-1pm on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, Delaware 19956. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Pastor Joe LeCates will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses to Patsy Jarvis, 28129 Line Road, Seaford, Delaware 19973.
