<p>Helen Faye Goodrich, 88, of Alexandria, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at her residence.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Elmer “E.J.” Goodrich; her two sons, Eddie Ray Goodrich and Wayne Goodrich; one grandson, Christopher Goodrich and one great granddaughter, Gracelynn Davis Goodrich; her parents, Carl and Della McRorie; her brother, Raymond McRorie; and her sister-in-law, Lorena Pounds.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her three grandchildren, Christina (Keith) Hathorn of LA, Kendal (Stephanie) Goodrich of MS, and Michael (Shonda) Goodrich of North Carolina; eight great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and her brother, Shorty (Molly) McRorie.</p><p><br></p><p>Helen was a precious soul that was loved by all that came to know her. She loved her family, her independence, “critters”, and her coffee. She always had her coffee pot ready and on standby for all who wanted to drop in and visit. If her dining room table could talk, oh the stories it could tell. The family cannot express their gratitude for her best friend Debra Hunter, along with the team of sitters that helped to care for her over the last six months. As a result of all our efforts, she was able to remain at home, where she wanted to be, until the very end. Per her wishes, there will not be a service, but a celebration of her life around the coffee pot in her home on Saturday, October 1, 2022.</p><p><br></p>
