<p>STANSON, Fannie (Zappala) age 92, of Franklin Lakes, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Born in the Bronx, NY to Anthony and Carmela (Esposito) Zappala, she has lived in Franklin Lakes since 1967. Fannie was predeceased by her loving husband, Vincent G. Stanson in March of 2020. Fannie was a graduate of Hunter College in New York. She began her teaching career at the Barnard School for Boys in the Bronx. While in New York she also worked at the Book of the Month Club. When she moved to Franklin Lakes, she continued her teaching career at Most Blessed Sacrament Schools from 1965-1995 equally 3 decades of dedication where she became Vice Principal and was instrumental in starting their Preschool and Kindergarten programs. She and her family were parishioners at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Franklin Lakes.</p><p><br></p><p>Loving wife of 65 years to the late Vincent G. Stanson in 2022.</p><p>Devoted mother to Diane M. Pijor and her husband Thomas D. of Nokesville, VA., and Vincent A. Stanson of Franklin Lakes. </p><p>Beloved grandmother of Jennifer Vanzetta, and her husband Michael, David Pijor and his wife Nicole, and Craig V. Stanson. </p><p>Dear Great-Grandmother to Penny and Juliette.</p><p>She is also survived by her sister Gloria Angotti.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 2-6 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes.</p><p>A Funeral mass will be held on Monday, 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth’s RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. </p><p>Interment Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes, NJ</p><p><br></p><p>The family requests donations be made in Fannie’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105 or visit www.stjude.org.</p>
