Beloved husband, father and papa Donald T. Pattison Jr., 74, of Kelso passed into his loving Savior’s arms on Sept. 19, 2022, at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Wash.

He was born March 25, 1948, in Longview and was a lifelong local resident. He graduated from R.A. Long High School and attended Lower Columbia College. Donald worked for Weyerhaeuser Company and Columbia Bank before retiring as a hydro-pulper operator at Longview Fibre.

He liked to tease and share a laugh, and will be remembered for his big smile.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia (Wakefield) Belenski; his stepfather, Butch Belenski; his father, Donald Pattison Sr.; and a grandson, Logan Kelbar.

Donald is survived by his spouse, Susie Pattison; a brother, Steven Pattison (Barbara); five children, Teresa (Mike) Pattison, Rick (Tammy) Pattison, Sheri (Keith) Hendrickson, Heidi Kelbar, and Shannon (Jonathan Mast); 14 grandchildren, Jessica Albright, Brittnee, Levi and Elizabeth Pattison, Kaden, Camden and Corben Mast, Emery and Bowen Kelbar, Kyler Wilson, Krystal Praast, Kenzie Choates and Marcus Deyo; three great-grandchildren; and three nephews, Kevin, Cory and Kelly Pattison.

A celebration of Donald’s life is planned for 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at Rainier Assembly of God Church with a potluck fellowship to follow. Pastors Garry Siegenthaler and Jeff McCracken will officiate.
