Parks, Danielle I. – of Montrose, age 65, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022, surrounded by family after a yearlong battle with cancer. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. Mass will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Good Shepard Catholic Church in Montrose. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 9AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking memorial contributions to go to Carter Elementary Montrose Library. Danielle was born January 28, 1957, in Owosso, Michigan to Daniel and Jane (Ebenhoeh) Ruddy. She attended Montrose high school, graduating with the class of 1975. Danielle married Dallas Parks on June 4, 1977. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Danielle worked for the Montrose School district for 10 years, from administration to working in the library. She loved reading to her young students, and they loved her. She enjoyed running, camping, and being outdoors. Danielle liked playing the piano and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved her family and was an amazing wife, mom, daughter, grandma, and sister who will be missed by many.


Surviving are: husband of 47 years, Dallas Parks; children: Christy (Josh) Wegener, Dallas Parks, and Craig (Allison) Parks; grandchildren: Ari, Jacob, Lilly, Cooper, and Ivy; parents: Daniel and Jane Ruddy; siblings: Diane (David) Wolbert, David (Karen) Ruddy, Maureen Ruddy, Brian (Becky) Ruddy, Jim (Lynn) Ruddy, Colleen (Chris) Maneke, Pat (Tanya) Ruddy, Ray (Michelle) Ruddy; brother-in-law, Scott (Robin) Parks; aunts and uncles: Frank and Jean Bednarski, Pat and Judy Ebenhoeh, Eleanor Drexler, Virginia Ebenhoeh, Irene Ebenhoeh, Gordon Krupp, and Bill (Diane) Krupp, Patricia Ruddy, Betty Ruddy, and Janet Ruddy; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews as well. She is preceded in passing by, brother, Michael Ruddy, sister-in-law, Rhonda Parks, and her mother and father-in-law, Dallas, and Lola Parks; many beloved aunts and uncles, including her favorite, Reverend Paul Ruddy. The family would also like to send a heartfelt thank you to the McLaren Hospice Nurses and 11 Tower nurses, for their compassionate care.
