May Rowell

<p>May Rowell, 83 of Schertz, Texas passed away suddenly at her home on September 22nd, 2022. May was born on November 19, 1938, in Bexar County, Texas to Thomas E. and Monzelle Stewart. She attended Schertz-Cibolo High School, participated in sports, band becoming a drum majorette. She graduated high school in 1957. She then met and married Fred Rowell in 1967, both Schertz-Cibolo graduates became supporters of the now Samuel Clemens athletic teams, especially football and basketball. May and Fred coached BVYA softball teams for many years. May then moved on to be a director for Pony baseball-softball for many years garnering numerous awards for her work. May was placed into the SCUCISD Hall of Honor in 2007 as a distinguished community member. May also found time to work for 20 years at MPC on Randolph Air Force Base, receiving a medal for “Exemplary Civilian Service to the Department of the Air Force”. </p><p>May is survived by her children Stewart Rowell and wife Rebecca; Tammy Johnson and husband Jody; and Jeanne Rowell and spouse Edward Perez, Jr. Grandchildren: Casey Rowell-Carter and Will; Dillon Rowell and Desirae, Carlie Rauschuber, Justin Rauschuber and Brandi, Tiffany Zamora and Allan, Stephanie Garza and Sean and Katherine Garza and Anthony. Great-Grand Children: Matthew, Rae Lynn, Jordan, AJ, Talan, Mila, Jenni, Sean, and Hugo. Sister-in-Law: Cathy Rowell and Illinois cousin Jeanne Cagwin and of course Mutzi her beloved dog. </p><p>May is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Monzelle Stewart, brothers Tommy, James and George Stewart, husband Fred Rowell and Granddaughter Randa Rauschuber. </p><p>A Visitation for May will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held the following day, Tuesday, October 4, 2022&nbsp;at Schertz Funeral Home at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral procession to Sunset Memorial Park for the Graveside Service. </p>
