Dana Lee Sturgeon

     Dana Lee Sturgeon, 79, a resident of Shoshone, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at her home in Shoshone.

     Dana Lee Anderson was born on February 23, 1943 in Wendell, Idaho, the daughter of Louis and Thora Anderson.  She was raised and educated in Shoshone.

     Dana married Larry G. Sturgeon on August 19, 1961 in Shoshone.

     Dana was an amazing people person.  She was always cordial and willing to listen and help.  Her bright disposition could lighten any situation.   

     She was appointed Clerk of the District Court in 1983 and held that position for approximately 17 years.  She loved working for the citizens of the county and put her heart and soul into her work. 

     She loved scrapbooking, gardening, and camping with her family. She was loved and appreciated by so many people.  She will be greatly missed.  Forever our "GG".    

     She is survived by: her husband – Larry Sturgeon of Shoshone; three sons – Warren Sturgeon of Bellevue, Wayne Sturgeon of Orlando, Florida and Wade Sturgeon of Sacramento, California; one daughter – Cindi Junier of Boise; one sister – Darlene Cheney of Boise; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

     Dana was preceded in death by: her parents; one brother; and three sisters.

     A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Shoshone.  A viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 12:00 noon until service time at the Church.

     Burial will follow at the Shoshone Cemetery in Shoshone.
