Greta Paulette Lax

Ms. Greta P. Lax, 67, of South Bend departed this earthly life on Monday September 26, 2022 at Trail Point Nursing facility.

Greta was born on June 23, 1955 in South Bend to Elijah Lax and Willa Dee. (Wade) Lax. 

Greta was a high school graduate and later earned her associate’s degree in Human Behavior. Greta was a volunteer in the social work department. 

Greta was welcomed to the pearly gates by her brother Benjamin Lax, and a grandson Christopher Lax. 

Left to cherish Greta’s beautiful memories are her daughter Quantella Renee Lax of South Bend, son Robert Elijah Lax Sr., of Houston, Texas, sisters Patrcia Lamar of Saginaw, Michigan, Jean McGhee, Sheila Lax, Gwendolyn Lax-Burse, and Alma Lax all of South Bend a brother Kenneth Lax of South Bend, grandchildren Michael Lamar Johnson Jr, Robert Elijah Lax Jr, E’Laijah Paulette Renee Lax and Princess Philomina Lax. One great grandchild Amayah Renee Johnson.

Services for Ms. Lax will be held on Friday October 14, 2022, 12 noon at Pentecostal Cathedral Church of God in Christ, 1025 Western Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, 46601. Friends may visit with the family an hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford's Mortuary Inc.
