MANNING - Joan Tisdale Harrington, 89, widow of Fred Pressley Harrington, died Monday, September 26, 2022, at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Born May 29, 1933 in Kingstree, she was a daughter of the late John Wilmer Tisdale and the late Ruby Cantley Tisdale. She was a graduate of Coker College and a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two children, John Harrington (Nancy Miramontes) of Manning and Sherry H. Berry of Florence; three grandchildren, Jason McLeod Harrington (Rebecca), Thomas Elliott Harrington (Kimberly) and Kendall Elizabeth Berry (Thomas Crawford); ten great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Berger and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Gladys Ruby Harrington and a sister, Wilma Jean Wilson.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Midway Evangelical Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Marty Hodge officiating.

The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Stephens Funeral Home.
