Carolyn Louise Walker Obituary

Reflections of Ms. Carolyn Louise Walker Life

Carolyn Louise Walker was born March 11, 1958, in Fort Worth, Texas to the parentage of Bernice Rhodes Walker and Melvin Rabb. Carolyn grew up in the Fort Worth Lake Como Community along with eight siblings. Her siblings' names are Pauline Marie White, Robert (Butch)Walker, Sandra Jean Thompson, Lillian Marie Brown, Curtis Lee Walker, Kenneth Wayne Walker, Ludie James Walker, and Anita Faye Walker.  On May 30, 1978, Carolyn graduated from Dallas High School. In 1972, she met Dewitt Alley, Jr. Together, they had one son who they named Derrick Walker.   In 1982, she met Archie Henderson which was her lifetime partner of 40 years, until her health prevented her from living life.  In 1999 Carolyn Louise Walker accepted Jesus Christ under the pastoral care of Bishop T. D. Jakes at the Dallas Campus of the Potter's House Church. However, she later joined Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church where she remained faithful.

Carolyn loved children, she made sure that she supported all children in their endeavors of achieving a higher education and life skills to better their lives and those of their children. She never met a stranger, and as a friend, you could call her night or day and if there was anything she could do for you, she was there. Her love language was food, and everyone knew that about her.

On September 22, 2022, after fighting the good fight of faith, she departed this life to be with the Lord. Her light will be missed by all she came in contact with, but she left the torch with her god children, great nieces and great nephews to carry on. Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother; Bernice Rhodes Walker and her father; Melvin Rabb.

She leaves to cherish her memory her only son; Derrick Walker, all her living siblings, her special niece; Freddie Rena White (Nae), her special cousin, and road dogs; Joyce Harper, Lolita and Ron McKenzie, along with a host of nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces, other beloved family and friends. Services for Ms. Walker are posted. Please keep the family lifted in prayer.
