Marie Rostron

<p>Marie &nbsp;Rostron nee Bacchilega, 94, died peacefully on September 22, 2022.</p><p><br></p><p>Born and raised in Somerville to the late John and Helen Bacchilega (nee Perone), she was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1945. Marie went on to work for the New Jersey Employment Office before meeting the love of her life, Charles Rostron, and the two were married in 1947. They settled in Somerville where Marie devoted herself to being a wife and mother, before returning to the workforce when her children got older. She worked for the Somerset County Probation Office as an Administrative Assistant before her retirement in 1994.</p><p><br></p><p>In her retirement she was promoted to Grammy and appreciated the quality time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed the beach and sitting in the sun, bus trips down to Atlantic City, and caring for her cherished dachshunds the late Rusty, Sandy, and Pepper. Marie had a talent for needlework and crochet and loved to stay home and make a homecooked meal. She was a parishioner of The Church of The Immaculate Conception in Somerville.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her dear siblings, Olga and Frank.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are her beloved husband of 75 years, Charles Rostron, her loving daughters Nancy Cramer and husband Richard and Arlene Coady and husband Brian, her cherished grandchildren, Ryan and husband Brett, Katie and husband Chris, Kendal and husband Tim, Emma and fiancé Rich, Caroline, and Sam, her great-grandchildren Gabbie, Bea, and Ryland, as well as her extended family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00PM on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.</p><p><br></p><p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00AM on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at The Church of The Immaculate Conception, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
