Robert Carrol "Bobby" Davidson of Brosville, VA, died on Monday, September 19, 2022, after a decline in health.

Born February 11, 1937, at Whittles, in Pittsylvania County. He was the son of Gordon W. Davidson and Berta Clements Rigney Davidson.

Bobby grew up on Oak Grove Farm, a tobacco and dairy farm in the Dry Bridge area of Pittsylvania County. He attended Oak Grove Christian Church and the schools of Chatham, VA.

Bobby graduated from the U. S. Armed Forces Institute. He also attended the University of Richmond, Old Dominion University, and graduated from National Business College. Bobby was a veteran of the Korean War and Cold War periods. He served in the U. S. Air Force, U.S. Postal Service, and retired from the Internal Revenue Service. Bobby is a member of the American Legion, Virginia Chapter.

Bobby was married to Nancye Carolyn Meadows of Chatham, Virginia. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Julia Davidson Brown of Wesley Chapel, NC, grandson Kyle Brown, Shane Brown of Charlotte, NC, and granddaughter Blaire Brown of Raleigh, NC; his son, Robert Alan Davidson of High Point, NC; and his son, Mark F. Davidson, and his special buddy, his grandson, Jacob Sidney Davidson of Brosville, VA.

He is also survived by his sister Glenda D. Watson. He is preceded in death by his siblings; James A. Davidson, William J. Davidson, Marie D. Midkiff, and Gordon W. Davidson, Jr.

A service will be held at Norris Funeral Home in Chatham, Virginia, on October 16, 2022, at 3:00 pm. The family will receive family and friends at that time.
