<p>Anne J. (Ruben) Rivers, a long time resident of Malden, passed away on Wednesday, September 21st, in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.&nbsp; Anne was born in 1939, the daughter of Alan and Sara Ruben.&nbsp; She was raised in Dorchester, and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School for Girls with the Class of 1956. &nbsp;She had a passion for the medical field and after studying at BU for 2 years she worked in medical offices in Peabody and finally at the Spaulding Rehabilitation in Boston for many years as the Office Coordinator in the Pain Program until her retirement. &nbsp;In 1985, Anne relocated to Malden.&nbsp; She soon married her sweetheart, Thomas D. Rivers Jr. They shared nearly 35 years of marriage together until Tom’s passing in 2019.&nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p>Anne was the “Hostess with the Mostess”! &nbsp;Her favorite thing to do was entertaining people at her home by throwing the most detailed and well planned out dinner parties ensuring everyone left with a gift in their hand and a smile on their face. She was very skilled with arts and crafts, and found great pleasure in decorating the home for every holiday.&nbsp; Her thematic table settings were extraordinary. Anne’s wit, warmth and generous spirit set her apart from the rest. She was always an ear, a shoulder and an advice giver to anyone that needed her. Helping people in any way was her joy and perhaps her calling. </p><p>She is survived by her children,&nbsp;Nancy Weisman,&nbsp;Lauren Galentine, Marcie Shay and partner Jamie Sheehan, her step-children, Terre Weisman and Mitchel Weisman; cherished sister of Marvin Ruben, her grandchildren, John Gravallese and wife Jessica, Brandy Hartley and husband Derek, Sarah Weisman, Craig Weisman and wife Jill, Justin Weisman and Nathan Weisman as well as &nbsp;6 great grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.&nbsp; &nbsp; </p><p>Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Rivers Jr.&nbsp; </p><p>A Graveside service will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St, Peabody Ma on Thursday, September 29th, at 11 AM. </p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mystic Valley Elder Services,&nbsp;300 Commercial St #19, Malden, MA 02148&nbsp;or Care Dimensions Hospice, 75 Sylvan St, Danvers MA 01923 </p>

Anne J.
