In July, 1998 the Riley family adopted Kelsey from the SPCA on Featherbed Lane, Winchester. They knew she was the one when she called out to them with the loudest “meow” and when taken out of the cage, she climbed up onto Kim’s shoulder.

Kelsey loved sitting on anyone’s lap she could find. She loved playing with her favorite toys, furry mice; and was always eager to play fetch. Kelsey was adventurous as all cats are. One day during a gentle snow storm, The Riley’s’ took a drive and took Kelsey with them. She stood up and looked out the window at everything without being scared!

The Riley’s favorite memory was, “When we brought her feline brother, Dusty, into the home, he went straight to the litter box to take care of ‘business’. Kelsey followed him and when she saw he didn’t cover up his droppings, she proceeded to do so. Kelsey was the one who taught him litterbox manners. She was a wonderful companion, who will be sorely missed!”

Kelsey is survived by her parents, John and Kim Riley; Feline siblings, Nikky and Dusty; and her Canine sibling, Samson.
