Katie Girl came in the lives of the Morgan family on July 11, 2009. They were lucky to end up with Katie; she came from a not so good home that did not want her anymore. Katie was about 4 years old and her name was Cassey; however her new mommy started calling her Katie Girl and it stuck. A new name for a new life!
She loved car rides, especially to hang her head out the window with the wind blowing her ears. Like all Labs, she had the love of water. Her mommy has a koi pond and if Katie got the chance, she went in! Over time Katie learned to like her kiddie pool. Every now and then she would find the opportunity to get in; like on Sundays when mommy and daddy left her outside while they went to church. When they arrived back home Katie Girl was on the deck all wet and you could tell where she had gotten out. In the summer time Katie Girl, also, loved playing ball outside. In the winter the grandchildren would take her down in the basement to play ball.
Every time Katie Girl would hear a door bell ring on TV, she would bark. Katie Girl loved dinner time; she would bark and her front paws would hop up off the floor, it was so funny. The dogs would get a night time treat and Katie Girl would bark and let you know it was about 9 o’clock…time for a treat! She, also, loved her uncle, Bill; he would say, “time to eat Katie, let’s eat” and she would start barking. She also loved cleaning up the cat food bowls.
Katie Girl loved Tuesday evenings, which is family dinner night. After dinner it was ice cream cone time! She was always the first “kid” in line. Katie Girl also liked Friday night when all her fur siblings got Chicken Nuggets! Coming home from work will never be the same for the Morgan family; Katie Girl would love and rub her chin on them when they would get home.
Katie Girl leaves behind her parents, Everett and Jennifer Morgan; canine companion, Max and feline companions, Chloe and Andy. Once she crossed the Rainbow Bridge she was reunited with her canine companions, Jakers and Chyna; and her feline companion, Buzz. Katie Girl and Buzz were playmates.
“Oh, how we are going to miss you. Katie Girl, you will be forever in our hearts. Thank you for all the love, happiness and companionship you gave us,” says Jennifer.
