Our great father, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, left this world on September 20, 2022 at the age of 53 years old.

Tony Anthony Mitchell, also known as “Tony Rock”, was born on September 24, 1969 in Marshall, Texas to the late Lucy Jones Mitchell Lovely and William E. Mitchell.

Tony attended Karnack High School and would later graduate with the Class of 1988.  At an early age, he accepted Christ and became a member of Peters Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

As years passed, he moved to Dallas, Texas to start his long journey as a mechanic.  He was employed with Kroger grocery store for 14 years.  He later united in marriage to Antoinnette Mitchell and to that union two children were born.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Preshouse Mitchell Williams (Damion) of Marshall, TX; his son, Ladarriun Jones of Dallas, TX; siblings, Glen Mitchell of Karnack, TX, Kelvin Mitchell of Dallas, TX, William U. Mitchell of Dallas, TX, Alex T. Mitchell (Vera) of Dallas, TX, Lyndon Mitchell of Dallas (Betty), Kenneth Mitchell of Dallas, TX, Kendrick Mitchell of Dallas (Erika); one sister, Deneisha Mitchell of Marshall, TX; grandsons, Damion Williams, Jr., Da’Murion Williams and Isaiah Williams; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucy Jones Mitchell, and three siblings.

A time visitation will be held for Tony on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 6-8pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Graveside Service on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 4pm at Sipps Cemetery in Karnack, Texas. Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
