Coleman Conway Howard of West Liberty, KY, passed away, Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Hazard ARH, at the age of 75 years, 4 months, and 28 days.  He was born Friday, April 25, 1947, at West Liberty, KY, son of the late Beecher Greene & Virgie Phipps Howard.

Coleman was united in marriage to Betty Sheryl Benton.  This union was blessed with two sons, Heath Conway and David Austin.  He worked for Courier Publishing Company as a Line Type Printer & Composer for 53 years.  He was a Christian and attended the Index Community Church.  He was a loving father, brother-in-law, and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his foster parents who raised him, Hager & Madgeline Wheeler Phipps; his wife, Sheryl Benton Howard; one son, Heath Conway Howard; and one brother, Jimmy Howard.

He is survived by one son, David Austin Benton (Kori) of Richmond, KY; two brothers-in-law, David Benton and Tony Benton both of West Liberty; and one sister-in-law, Brenda Haney (Mike) also of West Liberty. 

Funeral Service 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Index Community  Church with Bro. Mike Frisby officiating.  Burial to follow in the Morris Cemetery, Caney, KY.  Visitation 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers:  Austin Benton, Dakota Benton, Zack Cantrell, Tyler Abney, and Jacob Howell.
