Boyd Louis Funk
<p>Boyd Louis Funk, age 67, was born on November 18, 1954, in Worthington, MN, the son of Louis and Myrtle (Johnson) Funk. He grew up and attended Worthington Schools. </p><p>Boyd married the love of his life, Dee Ann Manitz on August 2, 1974, in Round Lake, MN where they lived for the first 10 years of their marriage. In 1984, they moved to Mankato, MN where he earned a degree Computer Programming. In 2005, they moved to Commerce City, CO where he worked as an IT Manager until he retired in 2020. </p><p>He and Dee raised two daughters, Melanie (Dennis) Trujillo of Commerce City, CO and Jessica Funk of Commerce City, CO. His three grandchildren, Cayden, Colten and Brynn, were the light of his life. </p><p>Boyd loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's sporting and school events. He enjoyed anything outdoors including camping and being on the lake. He also loved to travel and visit new places. If one of his daughters had a project to do around their house, he was the first one to be there to help. He was the most caring and generous person that was willing to do anything for you, but you really knew he loved you if he joked around and teased you. Boyd passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at his home in Commerce City, CO. </p><p>Boyd is survived by his wife of 48 years; 2 daughters; a son-in-law; 3 grandchildren; 1 sister; 6 brother and sisters-in-law and their spouses; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter; father and mother-in-law; and a brother and a sister. </p><p>Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Tabor Funeral Home in Brighton, CO.
