James Lee Woodson, age 27, passed on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
Born on April 5, 1995 in Rowan County and was the son of Tyson Burrell Sifford and Cassandra Woodson. He was raised by his grandmother, Kathleen Chambers.
James attended the Salisbury-Rowan County schools and graduated from North Rowan High School and attended Piedmont Community College. He was last employed at Chewy in Salisbury.
James most precious moments were spent on the stage as a lead and ensemble performer with Piedmont Players. James Wodson was also character performer for Paramount Carowinds His love and passion for performing arts was passed down to his dancers and mentees of Triple Threat Dance & Charm, North Rowan High School and Salisbury High School.
Kate Skating Rink of Indian Trail NC also named James as a Skate Ambassador.
James was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joan Marie Lark.
Left to cherish his memory include his father, Tyson Burrell Sifford of Concord; mother Cassandra Woodson of Salisbury; grandmother, Kathleen Chambers of Spencer; brothers and sisters, Shaniqua Jones, Alexis Woodson, Makayla Woodson, Jaylin Salters, Alyssia Salters, Thomas Hickey, Teeasia Hickey and Temerijuan Hickey, Teya Hickey, Aaron "AJ" Chambers, Emmaunel Torres; maternal grandfather, James Edward Woodson; mentors, Tod Kubo and Krystal Stukes ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations to be made to Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc., 223 E. Fisher St, Salisbury, NC 28144.
