<p>Joy L. Swenson</p><p><br></p><p>Joy L. Swenson, 73, of Roscoe, IL, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, in her home. Born November 2, 1948, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Leif M. and Tora (Staff) Ingebretsen. Married Gary L. Swenson on May 26, 1979, in Loves Park, IL. Employed by Warner Lambert for 40 years. Member of Grace Lutheran Church where she ran the nursery. Joy enjoyed reading, puzzles books, watching the Hallmark Channel, movies, playing games, boating with family on the Rock River, spending time with her family and most of all, spoiling her nieces, nephews, and cats. Survivors include her sister, Nancy (Sonny) Milani; brother-in-law, Jack (Linda) Schelin; sister-in-law, DeDe (Jessie) Pipkin; nieces and nephews, Colleen (Eric) Tryggestad, Raymond (Vanessa) Ingebretsen, Robin (Mike) Chandler, Julie (Erik) Lindberg, Debbie (Kyle) Johansen, Vern Allen (Cindy) Borah, Butch (Amanda) Elmer, Christine (Joe) Watters, Nadine Borah, Jack Schelin, Randy Smith, Linda Smith, Beth (Junior) Castro, Cindy (Oli) Willrich, and Teresa (Scott) Miller; special great-nieces and nephews, Gage, Kayla, Brittney, Kelsea, Alexis, Thomas, Logan, and Erica; several great-great-nieces and nephews; faithful felines, Rainbow and April Ann. Predeceased by her parents; husband; and brother, Richard Ingebretsen.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022, in Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Inurnment in Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Grace Lutheran Pre-School Scholarship. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Loves Park.</p>
