Sandra Gaye Honess, better known as Sandy “Ladybug” entered fully into the presence of our Lord Jesus, on September 11, 2022. Sandy was a faithful wife of 40 years, a loving mother, proud grandmother, a caring sister, and a devoted friend to everyone she met. Most importantly, she passionately loved Jesus Christ wholeheartedly. She was born on October 11,1959 and grew up in Laurel, Delaware. She graduated with honors from Laurel High School. She spent many years as a legal secretary. Sandy and Frank owned and operated Honess Construction and Ladybug Pest Management. Sandy was an encourager and faithfully served in her church and community. She loved coffee, vacationing with family, writing, time with her grandchildren, and caring for many dogs throughout the years. She was always known for her bright smile, her joyful spirit, and her ruby red lipstick. She is survived by her husband, Frank, son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Tracey, her grandchildren Nathan and Addison, son, John Honess & family, her sister Cathy Kennard, brothers Tom Reid and Frank Nichols. A celebration of life service is scheduled for 1 pm on September 24th, 2022 at Connection Church located at 28714 Seaford Road, Laurel DE 19956. In lieu of flowers, donations in remembrance of Sandy can be mailed to Connection Church and marked as such to help Sandy’s family with funeral expenses.
