Jeanette M Cross-Procaccini Obituary

A beloved mother and grandmother, Jeanette M. (Cole) Cross-Procaccini, 84 of Johnston, passed away peacefully, at Cherry Hill Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 19th, 2022. She was a cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Edith Cole. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony Procaccini. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Michelle A. Cross of Sangerville Maine, Donna M. Halvorsen and her husband Dennis, of Johnston. She is also survived by one brother, Joseph Cole and his wife Kennetha of Albuquerque, New Mexico and her beloved grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany Halvorsen both of Johnston.

Jeanette was born in Seekonk and raised in RI. She was a kind, smart and hardworking woman. She was a devoted mother and proud grandmother with a huge heart and beautiful smile. She had a great personality and loved being around people and especially loved being around children.

Before retiring, Jeanette enjoyed working with children as an aide in the Warwick School Department during the1970's and in the Exeter-West Greenwich School Department during 2000's.

She also worked as Manager of Russell Stover Candies in the late 70's and early 80's and as Manager of Incredible Edibles both located, in what was then, Midland Mall

While she lived most of her life in RI, she also lived in Florida for a few years and Las Vegas for a decade where she became Manager of See's Candies in Las Vegas in the 90's

Jeanette was a feisty lady and loving mom and grandma. When you think of her, you remember her love of the ocean, lighthouses and seagulls…Her quiet time she liked to relax with a good book or create beautiful pieces with her sewing, knitting and crocheting skills.

While residing at Cherry Hill Manor, these last few years, she loved bingo, chatting with everyone and making new friends.
