<p>Tony Ree Harkness, 60, transitioned on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at his home, Byhalia, MS. Tony Ree Harkness was born to the late Mr. Jimmy Harkness and Mrs. Cristella Horton on June 29, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee. Tony graduated from Frayser High School and began working at Mid-South Milling Later in life his hobbles included car mechanics and sitting on the porch, enjoying his grandchildren and friends. Tony was blessed with five children, eight grandchildren and two bonus daughters. His grandchildren affectionately called him Papi Tony/Tone Tone and enjoyed playing with him outside. Tony lived through his sickness surrounded by family and received Christ as his Lord and Savior. His confession to Christ was truly a moment he talked of to everyone who visited him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Jimmy &amp; Regina Harkness; Mr. Leon and Mrs. Cristella Horton, and his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Harkness and his best friend "Fletches" (Valentin Hernandez). Tony R. Harkness is survived by his longtime companion and caregiver, Lisa Campbell; three sons, Tony Harkness, Jr of Water Valley, Mississippi and Bradley Harkness (Brittany) and Joey Campbell (Destiny) of Byhalia, Mississippi, two daughters, Megan Harkness and Bethany Resendez; two bonus daughters, Selena and Samantha Hernandez; two brothers, Dean Harkness and Jeff Locke; one sister, Tammy Harkness; his step-brother Jimmy; his step-sister, Carol Ann Horton; his ex-wife Linda Luckey-Salim; also leaving to cherish memories, his family and friends. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs, MS, is in charge of arrangements. </p>
