Frederick Joseph Leicht, 40, Covington, KY passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Born on March 12, 1982, in Edgewood, KY to Freddie (Margaret) Leicht and Stacey (Kirk) Holthaus.

Joe was baptized at Sherman Church of Christ on April 3rd, 1992. He worked in construction.

Joe’s favorite hobbies included playing street ball at Walton Park, poker, fishing, watching the Bengals, UK Wildcats, NBA, talking sports, fantasy football, gaming with family and friends, loved listening to all kinds of music. Bob Marley held a special place in his heart. One of the proudest moments in his life was when he received the key to the City of Walton on June 18th, 2018, and it was proclaimed as Joe Leicht Day along with a basketball court at Walton Park was named Joe Leicht Court.

He was preceded in death by his father Frederick Gordon Leicht, grandfathers Bill Leicht, Stanley Snow and Grandmother Gertrude Bickers Osborne.

Joe is survived by loving momma and dad Stacey (Kirk) Holthaus, mom Margaret Leicht, his son Brayden Michael Koors-Leicht of Walton, KY, sisters Christy Wagner-Pence (Scott) of Williamstown, KY, and Hope (Danny) Mardis of Dry Ridge, KY, Melissa Leicht of Glencoe, KY, brothers Justin Leicht of Florence, KY and Terry Vallandingham of Ghent, KY, Grandmother Betty Leicht, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and friends.

A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 1:00PM - 4:00PM at Walton Park, 35 Old Stephenson-Mill Road, Walton, KY, 41094.

Memorial Contributions Bluegrass Hospice Care.

This is a casual event to celebrate Joe's life. You are welcome to wear anything that reminds you of Joe. He loved his Bengals, Wildcats, and Bob Marley.
