Ross O'Dell Daugherty

Mr. Ross O'Dell Daugherty, age 78, of Flatwoods, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Community Hospice in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born December 21, 1937, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a son of the late Ross O'Dell Daugherty I and Ester McElroy Daugherty. Ross retired from AK Steel after 38 years of service and enjoyed fishing, sports, and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd Daugherty, Ronnie Daugherty, and Robert Daugherty. Ross is survived by his wife of seven years, Mary Morgan Daugherty; four sons, Tim Daugherty (Molly) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Ross Daugherty (Deb) of Deering, Ohio, Lance Daugherty (Beverly) of Flatwoods, Kentucky, and Shane Daugherty of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Debbie Wurts (David) of Georgetown, Kentucky, and Cindi Virgin (Alan) of Flatwoods, Kentucky;12 grandchildren, Lori Early Bristol, Robby Early, Chris Early, Tori Daugherty, Bryan Daugherty, Philip Daugherty, Athena Roar, Ryan Daugherty, Blake Daugherty, Trenton Daugherty, Drew Virgin, and Devon Virgin; nine great grandchildren, Rhianna Roar, Luke Roar, Ayden Roar, Alexis Daugherty, Madison Daugherty, Riley Bristol, Annalise Early, Isabelle Early, and David Early; and two sisters, Betty Kiser of Ashland, Kentucky, and Linda Bailey of Catlettsburg, Kentucky. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him. At the request of the family there will not be any services or visitation. Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Grayson, Kentucky, is caring for all arrangements for Mr. Ross O'Dell Daugherty.
