Glenn Wolfe

Mr. Glenn Wolfe, age 71, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday morning, October 2, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born November 16, 1944, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Lonnie and Ruby Coburn Wolfe. Glenn was of the Christian faith and worked for International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union #18. He enjoyed drag racing, going on family vacations, collecting knives and model cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Glenn Wolfe; three brothers; Leon Wolfe, J.B. Wolfe, and Floyd Wolfe; four half-brothers, Roy Wolfe, Wayne Wolfe, Curtis Wolfe, and Lawrence Wolfe; and one half-sister, Opal Wolfe Dummitt. Glenn is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruthann Haney Wolfe; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Sara Wolfe of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter and son-in-law, Dannie Jo and Chris Patrick of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and eight grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, and Madison Patrick, Austin, Katie, Garrett, Lance, and Brooke Wolfe. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Roger McGlone officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Cemetery Lower Grassy in Carter County, Kentucky. Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016, and until the service hour on Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164. David Wolfe, Christopher Patrick, Matthew Patrick, Garrett Wolfe, Lance Wolfe, Austin Henderson, Chris Patrick, Jason Rohr, and Ethan Erwin will serve as pallbearers. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Interment: Boone Cemetery Lower Grassy in Carter County, Kentucky.
